Gwangju, a metropolitan city that represents the HoNam region, is expanding
as a global city with an increasing number of foreign visitors and
more than 12,000 foreigners already residing in an area that has successfully
advanced in politics, economy, society, and culture.
The Gwangju Foreign Language Network provides diverse information
on the region for foreign residents and aids in English education
for both citizens and students using pure English,
enhancing the lives and well-being of the people.

This English language broadcasting is anticipated to present
an opportunity for early English education of children,
increasing competitiveness internationally, and improving the quality of life.

Gwangju, having faced its fifth election by popular vote,
holds the goal of establishing“The Happy, Creative City of Gwangju”.

Gwangju City will do its best in moving forward towards everyone’s happiness
with a plan to emphasize “Autonomy of participation and communication,
creating an affluent economy,a magnificent culture, world-wide human rights
and peace,and lastly,a harmonious ecological community”.

I ask for your continuous support and participation in our Gwangju Foreign
